In an attempt to reconstruct a criminal case for his radio show, Lionel Hulme advertises for information as to the whereabouts of a robber who has recently finished a sentence for the manslaughter of his accomplice. The significant proceeds of their final robbery were never recovered and Hulme's nose for a story leads him into life threatening danger.
