Press for Time 1966 Norman Wisdom, Derek Bond, Angela Browne, Tracey Crisp Westminster, Kilburn Park, London and Teignmouth, Devon
Director : Robert Asher   Production Company : The Rank Organisation  Region : LONDON O-Q, SOUTH WEST, SOUTH EAST M-Q

Norman is quite happy selling newspapers outside Westminster Underground station but his Grandfather (the Prime Minister) wants to get him "a more responsible job". A few favours are called in and Norman becomes the newest reporter at the seaside town of Tinmouth. After causing chaos at a local council meeting and causing the demolition of a new house he tries to organise a beauty pageant. A slapstick tale of corruption in high and low places.

pft005n. There is information in a movie forum that "the station on arrival at tinmouth looks like west drayton". In Google Maps Street View option I have checked this spot in West Drayton railway station, UB7 9DY and it confirms that it is West Drayton railway station (First Great Western Railway Station, Station Approach, WEST DRAYTON, UB7 9DY). This picture is looking to the south-east, and Norman Wisdom walks to the north-west. Regards Greg. Picture from http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:West_Drayton_railway_station_1.jpg.
