A Liverpool street gang, bossed by Rock n' Roll hoodlum - Johnny (David McCallum) at odds with Stanley Baker a police juvenile liason officer, who is also in love with the gang leaders sister (Anne Heywood).
Stills and now images by John Owens: The film is mainly shot around the 'Gerard Garden' flats and surrounding streets - both of which were demolished in the 1980s - which makes 'now' shots difficult. But the use of the "Liverpool" church in vp012 is the fourth use of this remarkable building. Strange, curious co-incidence or deliberate inclusion for more sinister motives. The Cinema of Darkness explores some of the possibilities.
