sm001dn. The location of the home of the main character is in Silvertown, on the south side of the Royal Victoria Dock. The image at http://www.newhamstory.com/node/1289 (copyright, Newham Council's Newham Story) is a 1970 equivalent, and the same general location goes for other images in the opening and closing scenes of the film. The view is taken from a tower block which has since been demolished. Research by Richard Garner.

sm004an. This is the church that is in the top left corner, could not get the right angle due to two big lorries parked in street The actual location is Alpha Grove London E14 close to West India and Millwall Docks. So I've shot it closer and from the side. Well attempted by David Neicho.
