bd001. Thames Embankment, Hungerford and Waterloo Bridges in the distance, and also the South Bank shot tower, I think; around which Richard Widmark ran in "Night and the City"; and which I thought was demolished to make way for the South Bank / Festival Hall / Festival of Britain Exhibition in 1951, BUT, the film was made in 1959, so perhaps the shot tower was pulled down for the building of the Shell Centre, a bit later. Who can confirm?
bd001n. Now. Thanks to Carl Lieder.
bd002. Scaffolding of the Shell Center, and part of County Hall, but the shot tower seems to be to the left of the white building, the Festival Hall!?! I'm confused. Help please. 'The shot tower was pulled down for the building of the Queen Elizabeth Hall which was started in 1965, so the tower would have been standing in 1959. It was used as part of the Festival of Britain in 1951, and was one of the exhibits.
