Merrill (Travers) buys Mij the otter from a London pet shop. Attempts to keep him in his London flat are unsuccessful. So he moves to the Highlands of Scotland, where a remote cottage becomes the perfect sanctuary for both. They meet the local vet Mary (McKenna) and the three become the best of friends until tragedy strikes! JT/SJ

Ring of Bright Water - A view outside the shop but definitely not the same as 002 and actually looks like it could be Oban where a few other scenes were shot ... Mystery solved! It is in Stevenson street Oban. Across the road is George Street, the business is T.W Buchanan,it now a cafe/fish n chip shop, thanks to both Shirley from Oban and Gordon Kerr for supplying the info.
