Prostitute - Birmingham poor suburb, once upon a time. Terry Glasspool remarks that filming took place in 3 rooms, of a house at 61, Trafalgar Road, Moseley, Birmingham. The hallway and, wait for it, the toilet. I do not think the toilet scenes were used.

pro002n. Most of the Birmingham street scenes were shot in Balsall Heath, an area where demolition and redevelopment have rendered most of the locations unrecognisable today. However, I do know that the cinema in #2 was The Luxor in Balsall Heath Road. Here is a 'now' photograph which was taken from Clevedon Road, looking towards the former site of the cinema which was near the junctions of Balsall Heath Road, Clevedon Road and Longmore Road. Prostitute - Has this street really all gone? Loz Park tells us; Stills 003,004,005,006,018,019,020,022 are all showing the same short stretch of Cox's Street West (sign visible in still 019). Much of this area suffered damage during WW2 and was eventually redeveloped in 1970/80's. It is now all landscaped green space with widened thoroughfares.
