Pool of London - Under Cannon Street railway bridge I thought, but, no other bridges in sight. So where?
Pool of London

pol024. Under Cannon Street railway bridge I thought, but, no other bridges in sight. So where? "Its probably not a bridge at all but a catwalk jetty or something. Probably further downstream.....wondering if that is the Woolwich Ferry further down?", Roy Barnacle. Les Stitson confirms, definitely North Woolwich as the Ferry is in the background. The pier above the actors heads is the former Great Eastern Railway Ferry Pier, disused for many years.

pol024n. The North Woolwich Pier as suggested. http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/n/north_woolwich/index122.shtml Fortunately the tide was out so I could re-inact the "get away". (RL)

Pool of London - Maybe Greenwich Pier?
Pool of London

pol025a. Maybe Greenwich Pier?

pol025n. Richard Lovejoy believes this to be Barge House Road just east of image pol024. Still very much the same as in the film except that the slipway and surrounding land has been raised as part of the Thames flood defences.

pol025bn. Richard proposes that this was actually Blackfriars Pier (now moved further west) as Johnny and Pat had visited St Paul's and were on their way to Greenwich when they boarded the Viking-M. There appears to be a bridge in the background which I suggest could be Blackfriars and some delicate spires upper right which I believe are those of old City of London School.
