Wendy Nimz writes: the dance hall scenes (interior) were shot at The Palais De Dance, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire. I was there during filming and I recognise lots of people that I knew at the time in the dance hall sequence. I was 19.

War memorial scene at the bottom of Little Horton Lane ~ Gareth Nolan. Perhaps Tony Reeves wisely put in a deliberate mistake in case of plagiarisation. You can't be too careful.
