L-Shaped Room, The - Could this be Cornwall Crescent at the junction of St Marks Road, London, W9?

ls001. Could this be Cornwall Crescent at the junction of St Marks Road, London, W9?

ls001n. Yes, Cromwell Crescent. Photo copyright Google Maps. Terry Guntrip sent in the pic. However Amita Bhardway suggests Talbot Road, particularly as there are still shops and a launderette there and when Ms Caron's character continues walking one can see buildings that are still in the Powis Square area. Moor House Road and St Luke's Mews locations are also closer to here than CC. A photo would help to prove, but the steps in this pic are not adjacent to the shop.

ls005n. Now. St Luke's Mews according to Tony Reeves's book, but is it right? Has the doorway in the original still been turned into a window? Mr Halliday says that the house in question in the film was on the corner of Burlington Mews East and Moorhouse Road in Paddington, London W.2. At that time Mr Halliday lived in Burlington Mews West and suggests that both Mews have now been demolished. Check your old A to Z's.
