inno001. Kerr arrives at Sheffield Park, near Uckfield in East Sussex. The gardens are now separate from the house and are in the hands of the National Trust.
inno002. Kerr and Franklin approach the bridge over the lake in front of the rear of Sheffield Park House, in private hands.
inno002n. I'm a little further west along the bridge but not a bad match. And there are four lakes. This one is called the "10-foot Pond." SJ (Modern Photo Added: 20-12-2011)
inno003. Probably Sheffield Park Station on the Bluebell Line. Confirmed by Robert Sharp.
inno003n. The filming was done shortly after the Bluebell Railway opened as a preserved line, in the film the signal levers are seen behind the actress on the right. They are on the platform, in the open, with just iron railings around them. This was an economy measure from the 1930s. The Bluebell Railway very soon decided that the Signalman needed more protection (from the weather and inquisitive passengers) and built a signal box, in the correct traditional style, around the levers, in the early 1960s. So it is a lot more recent than it looks! Robert Sharp

inno004. Kerr and Franklin outside Sheffield Park House.
inno4n. About as near as one can get without fear of trespass. SJ (Modern Photo Added: 20-12-2011)
inno005. Franklin and Stephens attend a church nearby: other shots in this sequence with Jenkins and Kerr imply that this is stuck out in the middle of the countryside.
