Cry from the Streets, A - Looking north from the corner of Randell's Road and Rufford Street, N1. There are two towers visible. I think the closer one on the left is the 1983 demolished Vale Royal, also known as The Ebonite Tower whereas the further on the right is the Caledonian Clock Tower.

cryfrst002n. It is actually Rufford St, off Randells Rd. I was not able to get the height or the exact angle but it is much the same despite the passing years. I suggest that the tall building is actually the Caledonian Park Clock Tower, just visible through the tree on the left. (RL)

Cry from the Streets, A - Ken Jenkins says: my Nan is one of the ladies looking over the balcony, furthest from the camera and her name was Elizabeth Halls. The flats were called Beaconsfield Buildings and they were in Bingfield Street off the Caledonian Road. The location was seen in 'What a Crazy World'.

Cry from the Streets, A - More flats, could this be coming south towards Russell Square? The apparent tower with a black roof is in fact a lamp hanging from the pub, which has shops beside, and then tenements.
