Gone to Earth - Supposed to be a Shropshire village, and who said a fox isn’t an actor? And in a dozen pages of actors listed on imdb, the poor old fox doesn’t get a mention. It is indeed Shropshire confirms Nick, specifically the chimney above Lord's Hill Chapel, Snailbeach, with Lord's Hill Farm in the distance. (RL)

No, not a set says Nick, the cottage was abandoned for a while but he and Steve Cook of the Powell & Pressburger Appreciation Society visited in the early 2000's and found that it had been saved. It is above the hamlet of Pentre, between the hamlet of New Invention and the village of Chapel Law, Shropshire under the brooding presence of Caer Caradoc. (RL)
