west007. Hotel Eden, Paddington? Or perhaps behind Peter Jones, Sloane square area. Hotel Eden was at 27 Harrington Gardens according to my telephone directory for the period. Info kindly supplied by Ray Simmons. "Hotel Eden" is now "The Bentley Hotel", 27-33 Harrington Gardens, South Kensington, SW7 4JX. In the Post Office London Directory, 1915 the site of 27 Harrington Gardens is listed under "Harrington Gardens Hotel". This is the east entrance to the "Eden Hotel", looking south/southwest. Greg Mishevski.

west008. Reverse shot as Eric Portman leaves Diana Dors in the taxi. If this picture is really a reverse shot, then it must be Harrington Gardens at the junction with Ashburn Place, looking north/northeast. This is 18 Harrington Gardens, the demolished building (hotel) of the site of today "Millennium Gloucester Hotel", 4-18 Harrington Gardens, South Kensington, SW7 4LH. In the Post Office London Directory, 1915 the site of 18 Harrington Gardens is listed under "William Prebble, private hotel". I couldn't find any reference for the name of the previous hotel at time of filming, 1961-2. The "Millennium Gloucester Hotel" was built on the site in 1973/1974. Greg Mishevski.
