Burton plays a vicious East End gangster, who loves his mother, beats up his boyfriend and has a ruthless contempt for society and his fellow men. Plans a payroll robbery and directs the blackmailing of Members of Parliament with a taste for unorthodox sex.
The robbery chase scene in this film where they are side by side with another car on a sharp left hand was filmed in Wildridings, Bracknell, on the edge of the Southern Industrial estate. As is the scene when they are casing the job and "loiter with the intent to make a telephone call" is film 200 yards along the road further in the southern industrial estate. I have much more information with regards to the carry on film locations and Norman Wisdom film locations and Bless this house film locations and the Sean Connery film The Offence (1972) around Maidenhead, Windsor and Bracknell and will endeavour to supply the pictures of these scenes in the near future. If they are of interest to you and your subscribers..regards Anne.

vi012. Bollo Bridge Road, Acton, W3. But you knew that didn't you? Well, I didn't, so thank you to Michael Swartze for identification of the site and the photo. Well done. But see below for further thoughts...
vi012n. Now. Aahhaa, you say, a three storey chunk in the middle of the terrace. But, it's a recent addition. The garage in the original pic has been replaced by the church, the slab building. But the gate posts in the house nearest the garage are the same, and the houses have been re-roofed. Don't make it easy do it? But Michael saw through the disguise. (Modern Photo Added: 15-09-2014)
vi013. The same blue garage appears, but the nearby houses have gone and the gate confuses me somewhat, but that's easy to do. Yes JT. Mary Nelson to the rescue with Ramsay Road instead, W3. The blue doors were a ball bearing factory run by Frank Marshall. And the gate/fence surround South Acton Recreatinoal Ground where Burton shared his caravan with Taylor. Thanks to Mary.
vi014. The side of the South Acton recreation ground, Bollo Bridge Road, West London.
vi014n. Now. Same wall, same bricks, same angle of the house, same rendering, same garden gate. Michael.
vi015. Same wall, a bit further along, a pan shot, with the footbridge in the background.
vi016. The footbridge, from the recreation road??.
